Four Weeks of World Music, Film Scores, Jazz and Classical Music in August
Here comes our plan for the summer: spend the day lounging on the beach by the Elbe eating ice cream, then off to a concert in the evening with sand between your toes! For four bright weeks in August, the Elbphilharmonie offers a varied programme in the Grand Hall, with music at the usual sophisticated level, but not neglecting the entertainment factor.
Each week has a different motto: world music, film scores, jazz and classical music. So there’s something for everyone. At the same time, the Elbphilharmonie Summer reflects the wide-ranging musical spectrum that is an integral part of our concept: the Grand Hall hosts all manner of ensembles, not just symphony orchestras! An important contribution to this variety is made by our cooperation with the equally innovative and many-faceted International Summer Festival Kampnagel.
