The traditional Georgian meal known as »supra« is of central importance in the social life of this country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia. Georgian food, Georgian wine and many-voiced Georgian singing play a major role. On three evenings, the well-known author and film director Nino Haratischwili invites people to join her in the Elbphilharmonie Kaistudio, where she will be presenting this national tradition from a female point of view. Together with four female musicians from Georgia and three Hamburg-based actresses, the audience sit around a long table to eat, drink and sing. Stories of women are told, and the underlying structures discussed.
