Familien–Benefizkonzert

A musical journey through the centuries, presented by the Cool ElbStreicher, Hamburg’s outstanding children’s and youth orchestra, which has made a name for itself beyond the borders of the Hanseatic city with unique arrangements and compositions by Gesa Riedel. The young musicians learn the music by heart and conduct themselves on stage. The Cool ElbStreicher have already worked with well-known musicians such as Udo Lindenberg.

The multifaceted concert programme, from Bach and Brahms to Hundertmark, Metallica, Riedel and Sting, touches, inspires and surprises. The talented Stephanie Hundertmark presents her timeless, gently grooving songs with roots on the American West Coast, accompanied by Bo Heart, who is known for his many years of musical activity in Canada and his collaboration with Klaus Lage and Vicky Leandros. The moderation by Harriet von Waldenfels, presenter of the ZDF Morgenmagazin, leads sensitively through the programme and directs the focus to the central motto of the evening: »With music against violence«.
