Deichkind: Sounds of Elbphilharmonie

For Fynn Kliemann’s online series »Sounds Of«, the Hamburg-based band has produced a new song – featuring sounds from the Elbphilharmonie.

Deichkind pays the Elbphilharmonie a visit! The electro-hip-hoppers from Hamburg climb up from the parking garage to the roof with a recording device, collecting sounds from all over the building, and put them together spontaneously to create a new song. Presenter Nisse Ingwersen contributes cool beats, personal stories and insights into the production process.

»We walked in here and didn’t really know what we were supposed to do – that’s how Deichkind songs are created. It’s a mixture of chaos and structure.«

Philipp Grütering (Deichkind)

The Final Track: Deichkind feat. Elphi

The result: two and a half minutes that are worth hearing – Deichkind feat. Elbphilharmonie.
