André Heller

André Heller on his »Reflektor« festival

»I want to share what I love with others«: the outstanding Austrian artist is curating a week of amazement at the Elbphilharmonie.

»I don’t see myself as an artist, but as a student who is trying to fill in the white spots on the map of my knowledge,« says André Heller. A modest self-conception for someone others regard as a universalist. Radio broadcaster, singer, author, director, painter, creator of unique circus experiences and constructor of enchanting gardens: André Heller has been mesmerising people with his extraordinary work for more than 50 years, creating worlds of sensory experience that move people of all ages and backgrounds.

In March 2024 the exceptional artist now curates a diverse festival at the Elbphilharmonie – with music from various genres and a glimpse into the world of cabaret. The Austrian artist is particularly delighted to be returning to the Hanseatic city with this »Reflektor« festival – after all, he associates this city with one of his biggest projects, »Luna Luna«.
