: Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden / Rudolf Buchbinder
The traditional orchestra is one of the oldest in the world and is renowned for its exquisite sound. Rudolf Buchbinder conducts the orchestra orchestra from the piano and performs six piano concertos by Mozart on two evenings.

: Honegger: Jeanne d’Arc au bûcher
French Oscar winner Marion Cottilard, a true Hollywood star, lends her voice to the Maid of Orléans in Honegger's dramatic oratorio. The music is provided by Alain Altinoglu and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony.

: Symphoniker Hamburg
The Symphoniker Hamburg span a musical arc from the Baroque to the Romantic era with Rameau's opulent suite from his opera »Naïs« and Schumann's Symphony No. 2. Clara-Jumi Kang takes on the solo part in Glazunov's colorful Violin Concerto.

: Chiaroscuro Quartet / Cédric Tiberghien
Romantic composers sound unusually light and fresh here: the Chiaroscuro Quartet plays on period instruments, as does world-class pianist Cédric Tiberghien. Alongside Brahms and Schumann, Haydn, the »forefather« of the string quartet genre, will be heard.

When King Charles saw an opera spectacle in France in 1671, he wanted something similar (even more pompous!) at his own court – the semi-opera »Psyche« was created. Sébastien Daucé and his ensemble Correspondances are now bringing the work to Laeiszhalle.
