    Messiaen's »From the Canyons to the Stars« transports listeners to the red canyons of Utah. Ingo Metzmacher brings this tonal masterpiece to the Great Hall together with the Klangforum Wien Orchestra.

    : Carolin & Jörg Widmann

    Carolin and Jörg Widmann have been stars of the classical music world for years – she as a violinist, he as a clarinettist and composer. In February and April, the siblings will appear together on stage in the Grand Hall.

    : Béla Fleck

    Three stars, one trio: banjo legend Béla Fleck, harp virtuoso Edmar Castañeda and drummer Antonio Sánchez combine their talents in BEATrio – with virtuoso, energetic music ranging from jazz and bluegrass to Latin American grooves.

    : Oslo Philharmonic

    An evening dedicated to Jean Sibelius: Lisa Batiashvili performs the composer’s passionate Violin Concerto with the Oslo Philharmonic under Klaus Mäkelä. After that, the vibrant Lemminkäinen Suite showcases the full Nordic colors.

    : Derya Yıldırım & Avi Avital

    This is where worlds collide: singer and bağlama player Derya Yıldırım and mandolinist Avi Avital join forces with the Ensemble Resonanz to bridge the gap between Vivaldi's »Summer« and newly arranged Anatolian folk songs.

    : Elektra

    Opera at the Elbphilharmonie: Alan Gilbert conducts Richard Strauss's epoch-making one-act opera »Elektra« – with the large NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and renowned singers in a semi-staged performance.

    : Pierre-Laurent Aimard

    Hans von Bülow praised Bach's »Well-Tempered Clavier« as the essence of all music. In this spirit, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, celebrated Bach interpreter and sound aesthete, plays a concert of brilliant clarity and depth.

    : Charlie Chaplin: The Circus

    Chaplin’s »The Circus« tells of the accidentally funny tramp who becomes a star and falls in love – humorous, poetic, and touching. The magic of this classic returns with Chaplin’s own score, performed live by the Symphoniker Hamburg.
