Emotive singing from Norway
Imagine water had a voice and was flowing over the twists and turns of the piano riverbed – that’s how Inger Nordvik’s music sounds. The singer, composer and pianist – who shares her time between Norway and Berlin – has been deeply influenced both by her study of classical music and by the Norwegian folk music of her childhood and the wilderness of the Nordic landscape. In 2023, Nordvik released her second album »Hibernation«, on which she adds the guitar to her trademark chamber art-pop sound of piano and voice. Inspired by the organic sound of the 1960s and 70s, she has discovered her very own style, the foundation of which is her emotive voice.
